Make plans now to join us for this annual district event as we bid Godspeed to our friends and colleagues who are moving to new appointments in other districts or who are entering a new phase of ministry in retirement.
We will gather in Asbury Hall, Wesley Commons, 1110 Marshall Rd., Greenwood, at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and a time of fellowship, recognitions, celebration, and farewells.This is a special time in our district, since our District Superintendent and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. James Friday (Debra), will be moving to a new appointment next month.
Invitations have been mailed to all pastors in the district. Meal reservations are due no later than May 15. Click here to download a copy of the meal reservation form. Cost of the meal is $12 per person. Please make checks payable to the Greenwood District and mail to PO Box 49968, Greenwood SC 29649 ATTN: Martha.
Guests of the district are those pastors and their spouses who will be moving to new appointments in other districts or extension ministries and those pastors and their spouses who will be retiring at this year’s Annual Conference. Guests may use the meal reservation form and simply indicate the number attending.

Greenwood State Park
We are looking forward to seeing all pastors and their families at our Sending Forth Celebration when we bid farewell to those pastors who are moving to new appointments and those pastors who are moving into new phases in their ministry.
We have the shelter reserved beginning at 3:00 p.m. so come on out and enjoy a time of fellowship and recreation with your colleagues. You and your family can enjoy fishing (if you have a current fishing license), wading in the water, boat rides on the lake, and various games for adults and children. Dinner, catered by The Amish Oven, will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Letters of invitation and meal reservation forms have been mailed to all pastors (active and retired). Please make sure to return your meal reservation card by the deadline, May 15, so we can have an accurate count for dinner.
Note: State Park Fees: $2.00 for persons 16-64; $1.25 for persons over 65; no charge for anyone 15 and younger.
