The purpose of this workshop is to help local churches plan for, and be better prepared for, the eventuality of a disaster in their communities.
Two training sessions will be offered (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). Lunch will be provided.
– November 28 at Macedonia UMC in Mullins
– November 29 at First UMC in Conway
There is no charge for attending one of these training sessions but registration is required so the trainers will know how many to expect. Registration is now open on the Conference website.

The 2019 Special Session of General Conference is drawing near. Churches are concerned about what it is all about and what will happen after February.
The Greenwood District is sponsoring a discussion about what may happen at the General Conference. On December 1, 2018 from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul UMC, 102 E. Butler Ave., Saluda, we will present information share resources for the participants to take back to their churches.
A discussion guide and prayer guide will be presented for use in their local church. Everyone, who wants to learn more about this topic, is invited to join us.
